Damn! Now I can't dislike Michael Moore as much as I used to.
Fred Phelps and his cohorts needed a shake-up. Good job sodomobile. That dude is just straight out mean and the fact he pickets funerals, he should be ashamed of his actions (as seen in this little ditty).

Fred is Fred, I just wish he was preaching that, there was still hope in Jesus.
You said it edgy! That video was like watching Muslim Extremists duke it out with Christian Extemists.... nobody wins :(
Edgy I know you wish Fred was preachig different but he isn't. But there is something you can do, when Fred comes to a town near you, go and talk to him about the disgust he brings to the 'gospel of peace'.
If Fred came to my town I would love to talk to him and his family. I just heard on Klove that there was a Christian motorcycle group that was going to make a lot of noise with their bikes if the GodHatesFags group decides to sing. I don't really think that is the best way to deal with them. On so many levels it's not good to drowned them out with obnoxious behavior. I think that they could be reasoned with. A Christian would have to be as smart and knowledgeable with scripture as they are. That is the true challenge. I wounder if with gentleness and kindness under the guide lines of scripture would not only stop their funeral protesting, but benefit all of America and the rest of the world. Given of corse there are ears to hear. Personally I think that the interview that Josh and Steve did with Freds daughter was the most informative interview with the family that I have seen yet. I don't think that they are crazy, I just think that they feel that they have not been heard, so they are stooping to a level that will shock people into listening. That kind of shock, in your face type of proselytizing only works for heathens.
I agree 'edgy'. They can be reasoned with and this is the most productive route. But they are a hard little group (if they can picket a funeral) so we have to be resolute in our love for them.
From what i hear Fred Phelps is an inbred wacko who even Baptists disown. He gives good Christians a bad name. Now if him and Pat Robertson would just shut the hell up maybe Christ could be preached.
I felt extremely uncomfortable as I watched this video. The cold-hearted behavior by pastor Phelps and his crew was equally as disturbing as the silly antics by the gay guys. I do not agree with either side on this one.
Pastor Phelps is a hate-monger in my opinion and I don't know who gave him permission to speak on God's behalf. (Last I checked, God loves sinners of all sort- straight or gay- we've all fallen short of the glory of God.)
I don't appreciate public displays of affection between hetero or homosexual lovers- it's simply not appropriate. This obnoxious behavior on the part of the gays only furthers the idea that they are mentally disturbed or crazy wackos.
If the gay movement is legit, then surely they can find better, more intelligent ways to forward their cause than to go around in a rocking pink RV acting like that?
