Redneck Theology

He needs to start a church. I'd probably go.

Quote from Brendan Manning: The greatest single cause of atheism in the world today is Christians, who acknowledge Jesus with their lips, then walk out the door, and deny Him with their lifestyle. That is what an unbelieving world finds simply unbelievable

shotgun...cousin...F150...teefesses...keystone

I'm sorry, those just blurted right out...hey perception is reality right? and you're the one that called him a redneck, right josh?

seriously though...of course he's made some valid points, and it would be silly to argue them.

My only question is, what is HE doing about it (except squabbling with other christians?). Is simply not going to church the answer? Obviously he has quite a bit more to say, and I would be interrested to hear if he does in fact have anything more constructive to offer than how the church has gone wrong (not that it hasn't in many ways...obviously: SCP), but...well I've said it enough times already.

I am really concerned that he doesn't have a plate-cover on the electrical outlet behind him. That can't be safe.

I don't think he's really a redneck.

I have never heard Jeff Foxworthy or larry the Cable Guy use the word, "untenable".

(Just what we need... christian, REDNECK hypocrites...)

Meh... He's probably a youth pastor or something at a "progressive" fundi church putting on a persona named "Redneck Bob". His accent (edginess?) goes in and out and he seems to slip into preacher mode a couple times.

It seems like I have heard this same sermon (sans the cussin') numerous times before I pulled the ripcord. These are usually followed by a dire warning about your particular flavor of end times theology, like how "so-called" christians are keeping Jesus from coming back tomorrow or how your friends and family are all riding to hell in the back of a pickup truck blaring rock and or roll music--whacha gonna do about it?

I'll bet they play these videos right before "Pastor Dan" tries to stir the pew warmers into action. He knows it's easier to jab someone when you get them laughing at you first.

The pauses he makes sound strangely like the same pauses in W Bush's rhetoric.
